Small UI Fixes That Make a Site Feel Better
A few practical adjustments that usually improve a portfolio before any major redesign happens.
Sometimes the fastest way to improve a website is not to redesign everything. It is to fix the details that make the interface feel slightly off.
Areas I usually check first
- inconsistent padding between sections
- cards with weak content hierarchy
- buttons that do not stand out enough
- mobile layouts that feel tighter than desktop layouts
These are small issues, but they affect how polished a site feels.
Why this matters for a personal site
A portfolio is often a first impression. When spacing, readability, and visual rhythm are handled well, visitors can focus on the work itself instead of fighting the interface.
That is why a moderate refresh can be more valuable than a total rewrite. It improves quality without losing the character of the original site.
